Privacy Policy

Effective 20 September 2026

This policy describes what RepsEat collects and why. It is general information, not legal advice — review it with a qualified adviser for your jurisdiction.

1. Who controls your data

RepsEat ("we", "us") is responsible for the personal data described here. When you pay for a subscription, the payment is processed by Stripe, which acts as a separate controller for your payment information as described in section 4.

2. Information we collect

Account information. Your email address and the sign-in method you choose (for example email, Google or Apple), and an internal account identifier.

Profile details. Information you enter such as display name, height, weight, goals, activity level, food preferences and allergies, and chosen food language(s). Previously saved grocery-store preferences may remain in your account but are no longer used.

Meals and photos. Meals you log, including meal photos you capture or upload, their estimated ingredients and nutrition, portion adjustments, and the time and date logged.

Food and nutrition data. Foods and personal recipes you add, barcode-scanned packaged products, meal-prep plans and saved meals you create.

Progress data. Weight check-ins, daily nutrition totals and achievement history.

Usage and technical data. Basic device and app data needed to run the service, such as device type, app version, locale and language, and logs used to diagnose errors.

3. Why we use it

To create and secure your account, to store your meal history and progress across your devices, to generate personalised nutrition guidance and meal recommendations, to operate your trial and subscription, and to improve the reliability of the app.

4. Payments and subscriptions (Stripe)

RepsEat offers a paid subscription. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe — we never see, collect or store your full card number, card verification code, or direct banking credentials.

Stripe handles the checkout, card details and recurring billing, and tells RepsEat (through a verified notification) whether your subscription is active, cancelled or ended. We store your subscription status, period end date, and the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers linked to your account so we can apply the correct access. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

5. Photos and AI processing

Meal photos you capture are processed by automated models to estimate ingredients and nutrition. Photos are stored with your account and may be shared by you through a sharing link. Results are estimates and should not be treated as medical or dietary advice.

6. Storage and security

Your data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure and is scoped to your account identifier with database-level access rules, so other users cannot read your records. Payment information is protected by Stripe. Access to your account is protected by your sign-in provider.

7. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the infrastructure, AI and payment providers required to operate the app — including Stripe for subscription billing — and where required by law.

8. Your choices

You can edit your profile, change your food language and preferences, and manage or cancel your subscription at any time from Profile → Subscription. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Profile → Account.

9. Retention

We keep your data while your account exists. Cancelling or letting a subscription end never deletes your meals, weight history, photos, saved meals or preferences — it only changes what you can access in the app. When you delete your account, your profile, meals, weight history and saved collections are removed.

10. Children

The service is not intended for children under 16.
